Our paths crossed in the start of 2021, when we worked on their website and Solar Trends report. More reports came, and we backed them in their new Pulse event and its second edition-and a third is coming! We constantly emphasize that at Soluble, we want to build strong and long-lasting connections with the people that pick us and become more than simply partners. And so it has been for the RatedPower crew.

Project after project, we have developed a tight partnership with this technological business, whose renewable energy software is revolutionising the design and engineering of solar facilities throughout the world. So, when they were acquired by Enverus Group, the largest and most trusted SaaS platform in the energy sector, we celebrated the achievement as if it were our own. Just like that, we worked on rebuilding their brand for RatedPower's new stage.

A game changer

This cleantech startup was born to reshape the renewables sector. At a time when the energy transition is advancing, and the industry is becoming increasingly complex, technology, information and real-time data analysis are more necessary than ever to make the best decisions. With its SaaS, RatedPower puts all this in the hands of engineering teams, allowing them to solve several weeks' worth of work in just a few minutes. Now, their union with Enverus is a game-changer and brings them closer to fulfilling that mission of digitizing the world of renewable energy. Such a historic moment needed a strong brand, allowing RatedPower and Enverus to take full advantage of this transition.

In this new context, we had to make RatedPower look as good as it really is. How? By building from within to project outward. In industry parlance, this milestone meant that RatedPower became part of a league of superheroes by integrating with Enverus. What was Soluble's role in this new chapter of the company? We rolled up our sleeves and worked with the RatedPower team as a coach, training their brand and preparing them to shine in the new league.

The immersion, source of truth

The strategy would lay a solid foundation for developing the new brand universe. To build it, we had to start, as we always do, with a deep dive. More than 10 interviews –with the co-founders, the most relevant Enverus people for the process, the team and customers–, 60 surveys and 2 workshops with more than 20 participants.

The process gave us a complete perspective of the organization and allowed us to identify and organize the elements that make up its essence. Everything went hand in hand with the RatedPower team without the need to create anything that did not already exist: they already had everything they needed. That's how the rebranding began and how the project continued.

From the end, to the beginning

Analyzing RatedPower's revolutionary proposal, its context and its target, we understood vital issues that defined its reality, and that should be part of its brand strategy. For example, technology is important not as an end but as a tool to understand and facilitate. Another of these keys is the shared knowledge with which RatedPower democratizes access to energy transition opportunities, accelerating the spread of renewables as a significant energy source.

And, undoubtedly, one element that changes everything: RatedPower makes it possible to build solar plants faster, easier and cheaper, bringing tangible benefits from the early design phase. This cost-effective approach ensures future profitability and environmental benefits, making the transition to renewable energy a sound investment from the end to the beginning.

This presented strategic branding opportunities for this integration, from driving Enverus' growth in renewables with RatedPower's brand equity to generating synergies with Enverus' services to leveraging this integration as the best calling card for RatedPower to access new markets. So, with the information put into perspective and well organized, we created a brand platform that reflects the essence of RatedPower and marks the path to shine in this new stage.

Leading access to technology and empowering renewable sector players in its use to accelerate the energy transition. This is the key concept behind the new strategy. It is the purpose that has brought RatedPower to this historic integration with Enverus and its drive to create the future of energy together at the speed of light.

In their brand pillars, we group the benefits of their value proposition, which is closely linked to the way they live their work, exploring every new opportunity offered by technology and sharing learnings, challenging the status quo with a new way of working in renewables. And always with a contagious motivation.

Thinking and action

On the brand platform, we also identified the values that align the team and the brand personality from which they connect with the world. This revolves around their approachable, fresh, innovative attitude and willingness to share knowledge. It is this practical, disruptive, and accessible knowledge that led us to create their new concept. It is an ultimate and powerful tool that fits RatedPower's current moment, a message that encapsulates its reality and direction.

From the thinking and innate intelligence that star in Enverus' "Intelligent Connections" claim, we moved on to the action and acceleration that RatedPower promotes, focusing on the "smart" concept, knowledge acquired through experience. And so the new "Smart energy flow" was born.

Room for growth

In this ambitious project, we worked on a solid brand strategy that would allow RatedPower to grow, overcome the challenges of its new phase, and take advantage of all the opportunities. A new global, cross-cutting, scalable brand that will propel them into this league of superheroes and take them, perhaps, beyond solar energy.

This reality entailed brand, business and team decisions. One of them was to focus attention and efforts on the RatedPower brand, and this is how their solar design software, formerly pvDesign, will also be known from now on.

A brand universe to lead

Once the strategy was created, it was time to develop the brand universe to transmit everything that RatedPower is and can become in this new stage. An identity to lead the energy transition and a renewed digital home completed this extraordinary project for Soluble. And this is just the (new) beginning for RatedPower.
