Unleashing the power of knowledge and data
Unleashing the potential of data through excellent digital experiences is one of the formulas that more and more companies are using to activate their brand and scale it because it generates authority and fosters reciprocity with all stakeholders—a safe bet, in other words.
This is a path that Minsait (Indra Group), a leading IT company in Spain, has taken through Ascendant: an annual report in which they study the technological and digital maturity of businesses in the national corporate market using customer interviews.
From the very beginning, we had a clear horizon: to improve conversion and the number of web visits leveraging quality knowledge adapted to each style of consumption (online, offline...).
To do this, from Soluble, we planned to take the report to the next level in the areas of visual design, UX, UI, and technology.
An intense mining activity was necessary to immerse ourselves in the reality of the project and, of course, to work side by side with the people who provided the necessary wisdom to unlock the power of information. The goal was to ultimately make the report look as good as it really is.
Getting inside to know and understand
To dive into the reality of the Ascendant report, we followed our usual path: we studied all the team's documentation to empathize with their audiences, detect technological needs and perfectly understand the creation process executed by Minsait. We also conducted a benchmark, identifying competitors and references, and held a workshop with the team.
We understood that this report opens the door to significant knowledge thanks to the experts' dealing with high-value data and the methodology's disruptive nature. A powerful idea also emerged that facilitated—and empowered—the work: a more human technological revolution. Data and knowledge are at the service of people who need to understand and make decisions. That's another safe bet.
A step forward in the experience
Already in the immersion phase, the product team worked to understand each atom of the report, what was displayed at each moment, and what the user could do with that information. This opened up the possibility of creating an intuitive, familiar, and approachable experience for any user, using UI elements well-known to us, such as the filter bar that any e-commerce site has.
For example, the previous website contained a filter that allowed users to see (or not) some extra information, and we wondered if it made sense to see the graphic without it. After this work, we were straightforward: we added that information by default and removed that filter because it didn’t provide as much value as finding the knowledge at first.
We repeated this procedure with all the parameters to fine-tune the experience and compose with the best possible harmony.
Furthermore, we were committed to ensuring that the information was easily consumable from all devices. We meticulously designed the sitemap and created wireframes that offered a global view and helped optimize the entire user journey, instilling confidence in the product's usability.
A consistent and facilitating UI
Following the visual identity provided by Minsait's Brand Center, we worked to modernize the perception of data visualization by adding an innovative touch. This way, the information is consumed in a more didactic and attractive way.
A wider range of colors and visual elements and resources—cards, navigation, graphics—paved the way for the user while maintaining congruence with the rest of Minsait's touchpoints.
Technology to make plans a reality
With product design ready, our Tech team, who had been present throughout the process to make decisions that would add value to the project, got down to work.
This time we worked with a custom Wordpress theme developed from scratch, with plugins validated by Minsait. The magic of technology also took care of adapting the library and customizing the existing graphics to unleash the team's creativity. The potential of knowledge had no limits.
